1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CampusCommuno (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use CampusCommuno. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this eligibility requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. The Platform is intended for college and university students, alumni, and faculty members.
3. User Accounts
When you create an account on CampusCommuno, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Anonymous Posting Rules
CampusCommuno allows anonymous posting within communities. When posting anonymously:
- You may not use anonymity to harass, threaten, or violate the rights of others.
- You may not use anonymity to post prohibited content (as defined in Section 7).
- Platform administrators may reveal your identity if required by law or to investigate violations of these Terms.
- Anonymous posts may still be subject to moderation and removal.
5. Community Guidelines
All users are expected to follow our Community Guidelines, which promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment. Key expectations include:
- Treat others with respect and dignity.
- Contribute constructively to discussions.
- Respect the privacy of other community members.
- Report violations of guidelines to moderators.
- Follow the specific rules of each community you join.
6. Prohibited Content
You may not post, share, or transmit any content that:
- Contains hate speech, discrimination, or promotes violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Constitutes harassment, bullying, stalking, or intimidation of any kind.
- Depicts or promotes illegal activities, including but not limited to drug abuse, violence, or criminal behavior.
- Violates copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of others.
- Impersonates another person, entity, or organization.
- Contains malware, viruses, or any malicious code.
- Includes unsolicited advertising, spam, or promotional content.
- Shares personal contact information or private data of others without consent.
- Is sexually explicit or pornographic in nature.
7. No Hate Speech
CampusCommuno has a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech. Hate speech includes any content that attacks, demeans, or incites hatred against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics. Violations will result in immediate content removal and may lead to account suspension or permanent banning.
8. No Harassment
Harassment in any form is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to: offensive comments, threats, intimidation, doxxing (sharing private information), unwanted attention, and coordinated attacks. Users experiencing harassment should report it immediately through available platform tools or by contacting us.
9. No Illegal Content
You may not use CampusCommuno to engage in or promote any illegal activity. This includes sharing content that violates local, state, national, or international laws. We cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities in investigating and prosecuting illegal activity on the Platform.
10. No Copyright Violations
You may not upload, share, or distribute copyrighted material without the express permission of the copyright owner. If you believe your copyright has been infringed, please contact us with relevant details and we will investigate and take appropriate action, including removal of infringing content and termination of repeat infringers' accounts.
11. No Impersonation
You may not impersonate any person, entity, or organization on CampusCommuno. This includes creating accounts that mimic others, using false identities, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity. Impersonation will result in immediate account suspension.
12. Community Code of Conduct
All members of CampusCommuno communities agree to:
- Engage in respectful and constructive dialogue.
- Respect the diversity of opinions and backgrounds within the community.
- Avoid personal attacks, trolling, or disruptive behavior.
- Contribute positively to the community environment.
- Support fellow community members in their academic and personal growth.
- Follow community-specific rules set by community administrators.
13. Platform Rights
CampusCommuno reserves the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time.
- Remove or restrict access to content that violates these Terms.
- Suspend or terminate user accounts for violations of these Terms.
- Update these Terms with notice to users.
- Take any action necessary to protect the Platform and its community.
14. Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in behavior harmful to the Platform or its community. Factors that may lead to suspension include: repeated violations of content policies, harassment of other users, impersonation, use of the Platform for illegal activities, or attempts to bypass moderation systems. Suspended users may appeal by contacting us.
15. Content Removal
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, review, or remove content on the Platform. Content that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law may be removed at our sole discretion without prior notice. We may also retain copies of removed content for legal or safety purposes.
16. Intellectual Property
The CampusCommuno name, logo, design, and platform code are owned by CampusCommuno and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Content posted by users remains the intellectual property of the respective users. By posting content on the Platform, you grant CampusCommuno a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and modify your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.
17. Disclaimer of Liability
CampusCommuno is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline. You use the Platform at your own risk. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CampusCommuno, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform. This includes but is not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us (if any) in the past twelve months.
19. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to CampusCommuno immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately. You may delete your account at any time through the platform settings. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
20. Governing Law (India)
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for any such disputes.
